New Mission available in Mark2Cure

A lot has happened in Mark2Cure since our last post. We launched a new entity recognition doc set, ahem I mean, mission last Monday, and are pleased to be able to launch a new one today. Because we are trying to keep our efforts concentrated, we limit the number of open missions available on the entity recognition dashboard to just three. Hence, unless a mission is completed, we can’t open the next one.

If you haven’t explored Mark2Cure in the last two weeks, Max has been steadily squashing bugs and making fixes to the program. Now, there is an overall synopsis page whenever you complete a Relationship extraction quest. The synopsis page will show you how well you agreed with the community for each task in that quest, enable you to review your selection relative to the community, and access the talk page to discuss the doc. Mark2Curators have suggested a lot more features which we hope to implement in the future, so feel free to keep them coming. I can’t guarantee we’ll be able to implement them in a timely fashion (it’s just Max working on it), but we’re definitely listening.

Special thanks to TAdams for suggesting the creation of this feature. We still need to fix a few things about it (show text verbatim, instead of a synonym), but we’re getting there.

On an unrelated note- congrats to Jennifer and Sandip who move on to bigger and better things. With great reluctance, I moved your profiles on the team page to the alumni section.
